Global peace initiative Charity City isn’t just a place…it’s a successful template for facilities and programs that can be replicated in diverse countries and cultures around the world. Funds are being raised to build 120 Charity Cities in 120 of the most needy countries and places on our planet.

Based on the success of GPI’s 325,000 square foot Charity City outside of Hyderabad, India—a Charity City is designed as a multi-purpose facility that incorporates a large capacity orphanage and school to house up to 1,000 children. It also contains a separate training center to house and train widows who are completing training as Little Teresa’s.

The construction and operation of these cities also provides stimulus to local economies and employment/volunteer opportunities with the alliances of other organizations. The charity city concept also helps build trust and grassroots allegiance with locals as GPI reaches out to local leaders to embrace peace and cooperation.
Following the model of “teaching a man to fish” GPI’s Charity Cities are adaptable to country, terrain, and culture. The programming at the “cities” will always contain a full compliment of education, adult education and vocational training. An emphasis on micro-entrepreneurship is emphasized as well. Each city will endeavor to be as self-sufficient as possible with an emphasis on clean water initiatives and agriculture. GPI is seeking host communities and donors that can underwrite the cost of land acquisition, construction, and programming.
Numerous dignitaries in the past have visited the Charity City model in Hyderabad and have testified to its uniqueness, cost effectiveness, and success in rescuing precious lives and preparing people for productive lives.

 Global peace initiative
GPI’s Charity City in Hyderabad India is a multi-purpose; 325,000 square foot facility that was designed to serve orphans, widows, and train poorest of the poor in job and life skills that can support them. GPI’s intent is to replicate this model facility and the job and life skills programs in divers countries and cultures around the world.
There are an estimated 10,000,000 children living on the streets in the 120 developing countries. One of GPI’s top priorities is to rescue the entire population of street children in major cities and place them in loving, secure homes within their own country and culture —all within the next four years. In order to accommodate those who cannot be placed in adoptive homes, GPI plans to expand the Children’s Homes Initiative to provide food, clothing, shelter, education, and health care for at least 1,000,000 children.
GLOBAL PEACE INITIATIVE
GPI has inspired hundreds of thousands of families around the world to adopt a street child. Homes for the children are identified during the GPI Peace Rallies.

Peace rallies
 Global peace initiative

Over the years GPI has conducted massive Peace Rallies throughout the world from Argentina to Zambia. During these Peace Rallies our initiatives are explained and launched. These rallies have allowed GPI to address the human needs confronting the community and garner public support to resolve these problems with strong community-based solutions. This in turn promotes peace, security and stability among the population while providing and opportunity for them to volunteer the human resources needed to implement the initiatives. In short, we create a significant base of support for the initiatives among women, children, and the poor.

The immense Peace Rallies also have given us ready access to presidents, prime ministers, kings and governmental leaders who have the power to make positive changes for their constituents. Human rights abuses are addressed with a view to creating a better, more equitable society. Through these contacts, we are often positioned to help stop conflicts and war and negotiate peace between communal or tribal leaders and even countries in conflict. In major cities and small tribal villages throughout the developing world, communities are gathering together to discuss how they can meet the challenges facing their less fortunate neighbors. The solutions are positive and far-reaching, proudly owned and directed by the local volunteers who are determined to help their community.
LITTLE TERESA'S
Hundreds of thousands of impoverished, elderly women have taken the vow to become a “Little Teresa.” Of that number; GPI has provided a small monthly stipend that would meet their most basic needs for more than 52,000. The Little Teresa’s initiative has offered impoverished, elderly women hope, purpose, and in cases of extreme need, financial assistance.

These abandoned or widowed women are then encouraged to emulate the life of Mother Teresa by serving the hurting and needy in their community. Our goal is to support 10,000,000 Little Teresa’s around the world during the next four years. Further plans include building housing for homeless widows adjacent to our children’s homes, so the women can work with the children and provide the love, care and support that will benefit both the Little Teresa and the resident children.
GPI’s Little Teresa’s Program has helped turn the hopelessness and suicide attempts of widows from around the world into smiles and hope of service and peace. Shown here is a proud new Little Teresa at her graduation ceremony at GPI’s Charity City in Hyderabad, India. Over the years GPI supported 52,000 Little Teresa’s worldwide and hopes to support millions more in the years ahead.
